• Sirdar Firefly was a popular Ladder Fashion yarn which Sirdar have now brought back out and given a revamp. There are some of the original colours with some brand new ones with a metallic shine.

• There are lots of Ruffle Yarns out at the moment and Sirdar have brought out their own - Salsa comes in some great mixed colours which give a wonderful effect - you only need one ball to make a great scarf but we are sure you will find lots of other uses for it.

• Chunky yarns are always great to knit - they really seem to grow quickly. Two great kids ones we have in stock are Snuggly Snowdrops Chunky with little white blobs and, even thicker and quicker, Squiggle Super Chunky in mixed colours.

• There are lots of yarns out which use new natural sourced fibres - Sirdar Flirt DK is 80% Bamboo and 20% wool - some of the colours have a lovely metallic sheen.

• Also 80% Bamboo but with 20% Cotton, we have Juicy DK in some lovely colours - but they are 'while stocks last' (WSL) so buy while you can.

• 2 more great Natural Yarns - Eco Wool DK (WSL) using 100% undyed virgin wool and Calico DK using 60% Cotton.

• Recycling is big business - Sirdar Simply Recycled is made from 51% Recycled Cotton from tee-shirt off-cuts.

• Still on the Natural theme but this time especially for kids in 100% Bamboo - Snuggly Baby Bamboo DK.

• Scarves are great for that last minute gift and there are lots of yarns which can be used. Sirdars latest Scarf Yarn is Bohemia - a great super chunky yarn which makes a lovely soft scarf from just one ball. We still have a couple of mixed colours left in the 'limited edition' yarn Sirdar Snowball - the scarf in a ball pompom yarn - buy while you can. All other colours are available 'by the ball' but on a Pre-order basis. There is also a great Baby version of this yarn with smaller Pompoms called Baby Snowball - but not just for scarves!! Another yarn which can be used for scarves, or for embellishing garments with fur collars etc., is Sirdar Shaggy Scarf Yarn - available 'by the ball' but on a Pre-order basis.

• The Sirdar Crofter range of yarns are great spray dyed Fair Isle yarns - all the effect with none of the hassle. We have Crofter DK and Crofter Chunky in stock by the ball along with Baby Snuggly Crofter DK which has the same effect but in a smaller repeat.

• Sirdar have always done Great Fashion yarns - but most are 'while stocks last' so buy while you can - New Fizz (bits of Fluff and Ribbon - great for hats and scarves), Funky Fur, Funky Fur Magic, Boa (a Light and Soft Eyelash yarn), Tuscany, Medici (almost gone), Vegas, Zanzibar (wonderful glittery and soft), Frenzy (a mix of Funky Fur and New Fizz), Curly Wurly (wiggly, funky colours) and Foxy (realistic animal colours fur yarn).

• The Sirdar Classic Country Style Double Knit (DK) & 4 ply have 15% wool.

• If you want a bit more wool then the great value Click Chunky is perfect for winter with 30% wool. Also in the Click Range with 30% wool - Click DK and Click Aran (WSL).

• Taking the wool content up a notch is Escape DK with 51% wool in great multi-colours

. Escape Chunky is also available but only in packs of 10 balls at the moment.

• For Spring and Summer we have Luxury Soft Cotton DK - wonderfully soft with all the benefits of a natural fibre but this has been discontinued so buy while you can.

• For kids in winter try Aran Supersoft, Snuggly Snowflake DK or Snuggly Snowflake Chunky - both very light weight with a lovely soft texture.

• Sirdar Classic Snuggly Baby yarns are Extra Soft and available in DK, 4 ply, 3 ply and even the rare 2 ply Yarn. We also have the extra special Snuggly Pearls DK in stock by the ball - it has a silver thread running around the yarn. Snuggly Kisses DK has a delicate striped effect which makes creating classic kids clothes easy.

• Sirdar Yo-yo (WSL) is a great big ball and many patterns only take one! Only a few variegated colours left but they give a great individual effect.

• Sirdar also make the Hayfield Bonus range of yarns (previously Sirdar Bonus) which are great quality and value for money. Hayfield Bonus Baby Changes is a great value yarn in very popular mixture colours. We have 25g balls of Bonus Toytime DK in lots of colours perfect for toy making, the great value Bonus DK in 100g balls and Bonus Chunky. All the rest of the Bonus range are in great value pre-order packs - Baby Bonus 4ply, Baby Bonus DK, Bonus Aran, Baby Bonus Lustre DK.

• We still have a few balls left in some of Sirdars Discontinued yarns - so buy while you can - Sirdar Snuggly Bubbly DK (almost gone), Tufty (stripes of plain and furry yarn), Blur, Dune (almost gone), Fresco, Illusion (getting low), Just Bamboo, Town and Country 4ply and Silky Look DK.

• All other Sirdar yarns are available in full packs on Special Pre-order - Summer Stripes DK, Snuggly White Whisper DK, Snuggly Smiley Stripes DK, Wash 'n' Wear DK, Denim Ultra, Tiny Tots DK, Big Softie Super Chunky, Nomad (a incredibly light, textured yarn), Persia Chunky (51% Wool), Connemara Chunky, Indie, Babouska Chunky, Bamboo Super Chunky and Softspun DK.

StyleCraft have good quality yarns at the cheaper end of the market. The range includes Baby Chunky, Aran (Special & Baby), Double Knit (Special, Extra Special, Wondersoft Baby, Wondersoft Mixtures, Pearls DK, Special Baby), 3ply and 2ply. There are some lovely Yarns which are unfortunately 'While Stocks Last (WSL)' - Milan, Ragtime Chunky, Marrakech DK, Carousel DK, Sassy Chunky and Signature Chunky. We also have the lovely soft and furry Eskimo DK in plain colours (some WSL) and even some with a lovely iridescent look - Eskimo Icicle (WSL). If you want a bit of a sparkle try Cabaret DK (WSL) which is a furry yarn with a tinsel effect. Buy while you can!!

Stylecraft also do some lovely 'quality' yarns including Pure Luxury Merino Double Knit using 100% Merino Wool. Using 100% Cotton Stylecraft Classique Cotton DK is another quality yarn. Mohair is always a popular yarn for knitting and Stylecraft have a wonderful yarn called Highlights DK with 20% Mohair. Stylecraft Safari Chunky, inspired by Animal Prints, is a wonderful 'on trend' yarn. Also right on trend is their Ruffles Scarf yarn, it is a mesh style ruffle yarn but in much bigger mesh than many others. Mini Marshmallows is a pompom yarn especially for babies in 4 lovely baby colours.

Their Life range of yarns are also great quality with 25% Wool - Life Double Knit, Life 4ply, Life Super Chunky - in stock by the ball. The other yarns in this range are in stock by the pack on Special Pre-order - Life DK Prints, Life Aran, Life Chunky and Life Chunky Prints. With 80% Cotton and a lovely texture - Sirocco DK is perfect for summer knits, Kon-Tiki DK has 50% Cotton with a smoother texture. However both these yarns have been discontinued by stylecraft so buy while you can. 

All other Stylecraft yarns are online in full packs on Special Pre-order - Special Baby 4ply, Wondersoft 4ply, Special 4ply, Special Twirl DK, Special Aran, Brushstrokes (10% Wool, 10% Mohair) in both Chunky and Double Knit, Special Chunky, Wondersoft DK Spot, Wondersoft DK Sparkle, Baby Marl DK, Merry-Go-Round DK, Phases Chunky, Inspiration Brushed Chunky, Luxury Wool Rich DK and Marshmallow Pompom Scarf Yarn in Pre-order Balls.

Sublime yarns are top quality yarns made from Italian Silk, Cashmere, Kid Mohair, Merino, Angora Wools and cottons. They give excellent stitch definition while being soft to the touch. There are a few yarns which we keep some stock 'by the ball' - Baby Cashmere Merino Silk 4ply, Baby Cotton Kapok Double Knit (WSL), Extra Fine Merino Wool Double Knit, Baby Cashmere Merino Silk Double Knit, Cashmere Merino Silk Double Knit, Cashmere Merino Silk Aran. Kid Mohair has been discontinued but we have a few balls left. The rest we can supply on Special Order by the pack (pre-order) - Extra Fine Merino Wool 4ply, Chunky Merino Tweed, Baby Silk and Bamboo DK and Sublime Tussah Silk DK. We also are committed to keep in stock every pattern book - each with delightfully beautiful designs.

James C.Brett Yarns are a UK based manufacturer with great quality yarns. Ruffle yarns are big at the moment - we think Star Lites is one of the best with a great sparkle which is right on the current fashion trend. Cha Cha Cha is a mesh type Ruffle yarn in some very nice mixed colours. Also right on trend is Twinkle DK with a sparkly thread running through every colour. Their ever growing range has 2 Rustic yarns with little blobs of colour - Rustic DK (WSL) and Rustic Aran. Also with little blobs of colour we have Tints DK, but if you want bigger blocks of colours take a look at their Woodlander DK, Monsoon Aran and Passion Chunky which both have great bright colours, or the wonderful phased colours in Fusion Chunky.

James C.Brett Yarns also have a good range of baby colours in the Supreme Soft & Gentle Baby DK, Baby DK, Baby Aran and Baby 4ply yarns. We also have white Baby 3ply, white 4ply Shimmer and white Shimmer DK in stock for cute little knits. The lovely Marble DK, Marble Chunky and Rio DK are great mixed colour yarns with Baby Marble DK and Baby Bliss DK great for rainbow babies. The latest trend is for self striping or fairisle colours, or both like Magi-Knit Babies DK. For summer why not try Kool Kotton with 50% cotton - soft and cool - perfect for little tops or evening cardigans. We have a small range of discontinued elle yarns left including the lovely eyelash yarn Plumé. Sock making is growing all the time and we have a few colours left in 4ply Sockwool. The fashion yarn - Encore - has lovely long tuffs on a coloured yarn. There is a range called Naturals in 2 different plys - Barley DK, Flax Chunky. All elle yarns are 'while stocks last' as we are no longer able to get hold of them so make sure you buy while you can - Alaska Chunky, Caress DK, Cotton Fields DK, Furry Friends (one colour left), Galaxy, Pure Gold DK (one colour left) and Aran, Rustica DK and Rustica Ultra. There is also a range of elle Patterns which are also discontinued so 'buy while you can'.

We do not have a catalogue as it would go out of date very quickly - it would also be VERY large. Everything we supply is on this website. We are also unable to get shade cards for the yarns - these are difficult to get out of the manufacturers (most no longer make them at all) and are too expensive (in both money and time) for us to produce.
