Amended 1st December 2017 to add "Pre-Order delay extension until the New Year" information.
The delay on Pre-orders will be extended to at least 6 weeks over the holidays as all our suppliers close down for a couple of weeks so we cannot order until they re-open in January.
Please remember the whole of the order containing a Pre-order item will be delayed until that item has come in stock - if you want the rest of the order quicker please put in a separate order.
Please Note - all times shown below are extended over the Holidays.
Pre-order Pattern Leaflets may be in stock, therefore they may be sent straight away. We buy at least 3 of each one when ordered and the spare ones are kept for the next customer, so you have a 67% chance of them being in stock. We don't note how many are in stock as it would be a lot of work for the webmaster who already has a pile of patterns to put fully online :-(
The Pre-order yarns are not kept in stock by Dianne's Knitting Yarns - we simply do not have room. When you order these items from us we then order them from the manufacturer and send them to you when they arrive at our Warehouse. Therefore there may be a delay in the sending of your order. The delay is usually up to 3 weeks but occasionally the delay may be extended to 6 weeks, especially during the summer months and New Year holidays. The delay may also be extended during other times but they would normally be noted in the Shopping Basket. If the manufacturer is out of stock, or the delay is much longer than expected, we will email you.
Some colours in some yarns are pre-order yarns sold 'by the ball' - these yarns will be clearly noted. We may have some in stock when you order (usually noted) and can therefore be sent straight away - assuming no other pre-order items are ordered. This is because we have to buy a full pack of each colour and the spare ones are kept for the next customer. These are usually yarns that customers would normally only want one ball of so there would not be an issue with odd dye lots left over.
Any item marked Delayed will usually state when that item will be available. Your whole order will be held until that item comes in stock.
If you order 'in stock' items on the same order as a Special Pre-order Item, these will be held back and sent with the Special Pre-Order Items. We are not able to split orders after they have been placed. If you require other 'in stock' items and do not want to wait for the Special Pre-Order Items to come in stock, please make a separate order with just the 'in stock' items you require quicker. (i.e. place 2 orders - 1 with the Pre-order items and one with the 'in stock' items)
We will not charge your card for any items until your parcel is ready to send to you.
Please Note - We order the Yarn Packs from the manufacturer especially for you and cannot send those packs back. Please make sure you do want the pack before you order as cancelled packs take up room and cost us money which could be used for other stock. Please check the Terms and Conditions too as items especially ordered for you are not included in the Direct Selling Rules about returns.
